Crochet Tablecloth - Whether indoors or outdoors, this tablecloth is a real eye-catcher. In the summer, it brightens up your garden, and in the winter, it adds extra ambiance to your home. The tablecloth is crocheted using the filet technique. Following a stitch pattern, you’ll crochet “closed” and “open” squares, creating a lovely pattern in your work. The beautiful flower motif repeats throughout, resulting in a cheerful floral tablecloth!
The rug is crocheted using Yarn and Colors Must-have yarn. This 100% mercerized cotton yarn is soft to the touch and has a subtle sheen. With 140 (!) colors to choose from, you can create endless combinations of shades. We’ve put together two Crochet Kits.

What you need to know before crocheting the tablecloth:
- In this pattern, the repeat is repeated 3 times across and 7 times down.
- In this pattern, the turning chains are not counted as stitches; they are only used to create height for the New round. Work the first stitch into the last stitch of the previous round.
- To crochet an open (white) square, work as follows: (1 double crochet), 2 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches, 1 double crochet. To crochet a closed (black) square, work as follows: (1 double crochet), 3 double crochets. Note: The first square of the row consists of 4 stitches; the following squares consist of 3 stitches (the last double crochet of the previous square is also the first double crochet of the next square).

THE EDGE:
You'll end up in the top left corner. Then you'll continue crocheting along the long side to make the edge.
Tip: To make the pattern easier to follow, start a new round in the corners. However, for a neater finish, it’s better to start in a different spot each time.
Row 1: Chain 2, 1 double crochet in each stitch. (Work 2 double crochets in the chain stitches.) Work 1 additional double crochet in each corner. Join the row with a slip stitch in the first stitch.
Row 2: Using color 74 (Opaline Glass), work 1 double crochet in each stitch all around, and work 1 additional double crochet in the corner. Fasten off. Close the row with a slip stitch in the first stitch and fasten off.
Row 3: Join with color 17 (Papaya). Crochet a half double crochet in each stitch all around, and in the corners, crochet 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, skip 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet. Close the row with a slip stitch in the first stitch and fasten off.
Row 4: Join color 45 (Blossom) to the corner chain-3 loop: 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, *1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches. Repeat from *. In each corner chain-3 loop, work 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet. Close the round with a slip stitch in the first stitch and fasten off.
Row 5: Join color 15 (Mustard) in the chain arch at a corner. 2 chain stitches, 3 joined double crochets, 5 chain stitches, *to the next arch, 3 joined double crochets, 3 chain stitches. Repeat from *. In the corners, crochet 5 chain stitches, 3 joined double crochets, 5 chain stitches. Close the round with 5 chain stitches and a slip stitch in the first stitch.
Row 6: Join with color 43 (Pearl) to the chain arch from the previous row. Crochet 3 double crochets in each arch. In the corners: 5 chain stitches. Close the row with a slip stitch in the first stitch and fasten off.
Row 7: Join with color 66 (Blue Lake) between 2 groups of double crochets. 1 chain stitch, *1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches, skip 1 group of double crochets, repeat from *. In the corners, chain 5. Close the row with a slip stitch in the first stitch.
Row 8: 1 slip stitch in the arch, 2 chain stitches, *in the arch, work a 4-yarn-over stitch (**wrap the yarn around your hook, insert the hook through the arch, and pull the yarn through. Repeat from * 3 times, wrap the yarn around the hook and pull through all 9 loops) 3 chain stitches, move to the next arch. Repeat from *. In the corners, chain 5, work a 4-yarn-over loop, chain 5. Close the round with a slip stitch in the first stitch and fasten off.
