Phone cases come in all shapes and sizes. With this Crochet Pattern, you can make your own phone case! The basic owl pattern is simple and quick to make. It makes a great little gift or something just for yourself. Check out our video now!

Phone cases come in all shapes and sizes—from expensive leather cases to an old sock. Of course, it’s nothing more than a protective layer for your precious phone, but with that protective case, you still feel a little more at ease.
If you want to show off your love of crocheting, this crochet pattern for a phone case is perfect for you! These phone cases are crocheted with Phildar Cotton 3, which makes them very sturdy. We chose to embellish the basic pattern to create a cute little owl. But there are so many other possibilities! Try using two colors of yarn and alternating between them. Try a different yarn and embellish the case with cool buttons. Chic and very personal.
What do you need?

Materials: Phildar Phil Coton 3, size 3 Crochet Hook, and a Wool Needle.
Stitches used: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet.
Colors used: Cover 1: Perle base, blanc eyes, Melon nose, Mercure wings
Case 2: Rouge base, blanc eyes, Melon nose
Pattern
: Start with a chain of chain stitches that is the same length as the bottom of the mobile phone holder you're crocheting the phone case for.
Round
1: Work 2 single crochets in the first chain stitch, then 1 single crochet in each chain stitch. Work 4 single crochets in the last chain stitch of the chain. On the other side of the chain, work 1 single crochet in each chain stitch, and work 2 more single crochets in the first chain stitch (where you started). See also the diagram below.
Row 2: Crochet 1 single crochet in each single crochet, and continue in the round—so do not join the rows. Crochet until the mobile reaches the desired height. Finish in a corner.
Ears: Crochet 5 single crochets and end with a chain stitch. Crochet 4 single crochets, skip the first single crochet, and end with a chain stitch. Crochet 3 single crochets, skip the first single crochet, and end with a chain stitch. Crochet 2 single crochets, skip the first single crochet, and end with a chain stitch. Crochet 1 single crochet and fasten off.
Crochet another ear on the other corner.
Eyes: Start with 1 chain stitch and crochet 6 single crochets into it. Row 1: Crochet 2 single crochets into each single crochet, for a total of 12 single crochets. Row 2: Crochet 2 single crochets into each single crochet, for a total of 24 single crochets, and fasten off. Repeat this once more so that you have 2 eyes.
Sew this with a Wool Needle using black yarn in a cross—this is the pupil of the eye.
Nose: Start with 2 chain stitches. Row 1: Crochet 2 single crochets into every 2nd chain stitch, for a total of 4 single crochets. Row 2: Crochet 2 single crochets into the first single crochet. Then crochet 1 single crochet into each single crochet, for a total of 5 single crochets. Row 3: Crochet 2 single crochets into the first single crochet. Then crochet 1 single crochet into each single crochet, for a total of 6 single crochets, and fasten off.
Single crochet this to the cover using the same color of yarn and a Wool Needle.
Wings: Start by crocheting a chain of 9 chain stitches. Row 1: Crochet 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 5 double crochets, 1 half double crochet, and 1 single crochet. Repeat exactly the same on the other side of the chain.
Single crochet this to the cover using the same color of yarn and a Wool Needle.
