Crochet a tropical pineapple

Crocheting a Pineapple - Sweet, juicy, and deliciously refreshing! A pineapple isn't just super tasty—it's also a must-have! From cool prints on clothes to a A trendy item for your living room. It's totally hip, and if you're not really into fruit, it's the perfect way to meet your fruit tax requirement.

We’ll crochet the pineapple using different cotton yarns. We searched for the perfect pineapple colors and settled on Capri and Coton 3. Once you get the hang of the pattern, you’ll be able to crochet a pineapple in no time. Add a green crown, and voilà—your tropical must-have is ready!

What do you need?

Material:
- 1 ball of Phildar Phil Coton 3, color 1192
- 1 ball of Katia Capri in colors 57 and 151
- Crochet Hook size 3
- 1 bag of stuffing

Stitches used:
l. = chain stitch
hv. = single crochet
v. = single crochet
pc. = double crochet

Crocheting a Pineapple - Free Crochet Pattern

Crochet 6 sts into a magic ring using yellow yarn.

Round 1: Double all stitches. Fasten off with a slip stitch. (12 stitches)
2nd row: *1 st, 2 sts in the next st* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a sl st. (18 sts)
Round 3: 3 ch., 6 dc in the same st., 1 dc, *7 dc in the next st., 1 dc* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a sl st., change to beige (72 dc)
4th round: 72 sts. Fasten off and change colors (Yellow)
Round 5: Join the yellow yarn in a sc above a stk. between two fans. 3 ch., 8 stk. in the same st., skip 3 st., 1 sc., skip 3 st., *9 stk. in the same st., skip 3 st., 1 sc., skip 3 st.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a slip stitch and change to beige.
Row 6: 2 ch., 8 dc., 1 tr. in the dc. between 2 fans, 1 ch., 1 tr., *9 dc., 1 tr. in the dc. between 2 fans, 1 ch., 1 tr.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off and change colors (Yellow)
Round 7: Join the yellow yarn to a *1-ch chain space and crochet 9 dc into this space, then 1 sc in the center of the next 9 sc from the previous round.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a sl st and change to beige.
Rows 8 through 25: Repeat rows 6 and 7 alternately. (9 times)
Row 26: 2 ch., 8 dc., 1 dc. in the st. between 2 fans, *9 dc., 1 dc. in the st. between 2 fans* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off and change colors (Yellow)
Round 27: Join the yellow yarn to a single crochet between two fans and crochet *7 single crochets in this single crochet, 1 single crochet in the center of the next 9 single crochets from the previous round.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a slip stitch and change to beige.
Row 28: 2 ch., 6 dc., 1 st. skip, *7 dc., 1 st. skip.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off and change colors. (Yellow)
Row 29: Join the yellow yarn to the first st. of a fan and crochet *7 dc in this st., skip 6 sts.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a sl st. and change colors (beige)
Row 30: 2 ch., 5 dc., 1 sl st., *6 dc., 1 sl st.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off and change colors (Yellow) (54 dc.)

Fill the pineapple.
Row 31: *1 st, 2 sts crocheted together* Repeat *-*
Round 32: Crochet all stitches together.
Pull the thread through the last stitch, tighten it, and fasten off.

Leaves:
The leaves are crocheted in the round.

Large sheet (3x)
4 v. in a magic ring.
Round 1: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st.* Repeat *-* (6 sc)
2nd row: *2 sc, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat *-* (8 sc)
3rd round: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat *-* (12 sc)
4th round: 12 sts.
5th round: *1 sc, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat *-* (18 sc)
Rows 6 through 33: 18 sts.

Small sheet (5x)
4 v. in a magic ring.
Round 1: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st.* Repeat *-* (6 sc)
2nd row: *2 sc, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat *-* (8 sc)
3rd round: 8 sts.
4th row: *1 sc, 2 sc in the next st.* Repeat *-* (12 sc)
Rows 5 through 18: 12 sc.

First, single crochet the large leaves together by folding them slightly around each other. Then you can single crochet the 5 small leaves around them. Finally, attach the cluster of leaves to the pineapple.
