Designers Jolanda and Naomi from Haakplein have created a unique blanket inspired entirely by Cyndi Lauper’s song “True Colors.” The blanket is called “True Colors” because, with its six color combinations, they explored many colors that—in our view—each express a different emotion. Choose the combination that suits you best, the one that reflects your mood.

The True Colors blanket consists of alternating long, narrow strips and slightly wider strips, in one color and sometimes in two colors. These are later crocheted together, and the blanket is finished with a beautiful border. The pattern is fun and varied to crochet, featuring some challenging stitches as well as some easier ones. The True Colors CAL starts on March 21, 2025
The True Colors Crochet Along starts on Friday, March 21, after which 6 pattern sections will be released every other week on the Haakplein website and in the Haakplein Facebook group. Of course, you can join for free! The Blanket is available in 6 color combinations. Check them out below!

The True Colors CAL is available as a complete Yarn Kit in six colorways. The blanket is crocheted with a 3.5 mm Crochet Hook, which is not included in the Kit but can easily be ordered from us online!

You can choose your own colors. The blanket is crocheted with Durable Comfy.
How big is the True Colors blanket?
The blanket measures approximately 160 x 180 cm; depending on your crochet technique, the dimensions may vary.
