Single Crochet - Tutorial

How do you crochet a single crochet?

A single crochet is a crochet stitch that adds height to your work but is also compact. The single crochet is widely used in various crochet projects. For example, Amigurumi are often crocheted using single crochets, tapestry and mochila are made with single crochets, and you also use single crochets when crocheting the granite stitch. To make a single crochet, insert your Crochet Hook, wrap the yarn around your Crochet Hook, and pull it through. You now have 2 loops on your Crochet Hook. Wrap the yarn around your Crochet Hook again and pull it through every second loop on your Crochet Hook. You now have one loop left on your Crochet Hook and can continue with your next stitch. Check out our handy video tutorial where you’ll learn step by step how to crochet a single crochet stitch.
