Whereas you used to be able to choose from two set color schemes, you can now customize the Blanket entirely to your liking. The design uses 10 different colors, and for each color position, you can choose your favorite shade from the Yarn and Colors Must-Have collection. This way, you can recreate one of the original patterns, opt for subtle tone-on-tone colors, or put together a bold and colorful combination.

The colors shown in the image are preset for you. Would you prefer different colors? You can easily customize each color when putting together your kit.

Original color combinations from the design

In the product photos, you can see the two original color schemes for the Wide Zigzag Blanket. You can still use these combinations for inspiration:

• Pink: 105 Oak, 042 Peach, 126 Sand, 009 Limestone, 139 Dew, 118 Blue Yucca, 043 Pearl, 101 Rosé, 127 Fawn, and 111 Rose Quartz
• Green: 078 Bottle, 080 Eucalyptus, 107 Ocher, 014 Sunflower, 121 Celadon, 127 Fawn, 015 Mustard, 079 Aventurine, 090 Olive, and 139 Dew

You are not limited to these combinations. For each color position, you can choose from the 140 colors in the Yarn and Colors Must-have collection.

Construction of the Blanket

The blanket consists of 10 wide color strips. Each strip is crocheted for 12 rounds before you switch to the next color. For each color you choose, you’ll receive 3 balls of Yarn and Colors Must-have. So the kit contains a total of 30 balls of yarn.

The combination of open and closed stitches creates a light, filet-like zigzag pattern. After crocheting, the blanket is blocked so that the points and the pattern stand out beautifully.

Finishing

Decorative tassels are made on the short sides of the blanket. Following the patterns, make 9 tassels on the bottom and 10 on the top. To do this, combine the different colors from the blanket.
