Fons Forever Knitting Pattern

Knitting Pattern: Fons Forever - Is your best friend getting a little older? Then give your pet a classic “old-man cardigan” with cables, a V-neck, buttons, and pockets. With this pattern by BreiSTER 2022 contestant Nicole Teunnissen, you can knit a nice, warm cardigan that will keep your dog or cat cozy all winter long. You can hide your hand-knitted little mouse in the pockets for your pet. That way, he’ll always have a toy with him!

This knitting pattern was designed for Fons, a 16-year-old European Shorthair cat. The Cardigan is meant to be loose-fitting. Fons’s measurements are:
From head to tail: 30 cm
Neck circumference: 35 cm
Waist circumference: 50 cm
Head and front legs: 7 cm

Tools & Supplies:
- 2 balls of Yarn and Colors Favorite 072 Glass
- 1 ball of Yarn and Colors Favorite 073 Jade Gravel & 089 Gold
- 1 ball of Yarn and Colors Must-have Minis 100 Black & 038 Peony Pink
- 5 DROPS Marble buttons, 25 mm
- Circular Knitting Needles (preferably with a longer cable) 2.5 & 3 mm
- 4 mm Knitting Needle
- Cable needle, approx. 3 mm
- Blunt-tipped needle
- A needle that fits through the buttonholes
- Scissors
- Cotton scraps
- 4 Stitch Markers
