"Flower Field" Blanket Crochet Kit

"Flower Field" Blanket Crochet Kit – Mosaic crochet is all the rage! Lotte used this crochet technique for her final piece in the Haakster 2021 competition. The blanket is stunning thanks to its abundance of colors and varied motifs. These didn’t just come out of thin air, by the way; Lotte drew inspiration for the design of this mosaic blanket from Nijhoff’s “De Wolken” (The Clouds). The green bands feature a grass motif, followed by a floral motif in pink, and finishing with blue bands that symbolize the sky. Thanks to the double-sided mosaic crochet technique, the back of this blanket is just as beautiful as the front. Also good to know: the many chain stitches are neatly tucked away in the border at the end.
