The concept behind the Haakplein CAL 2025, titled "True Colors"
The name “True Colors” is derived from Cyndi Lauper’s song. Many different people, many different opinions, many different emotions. “True Colors” because, thanks to the six color combinations, many colors passed us by—all of which, in our eyes, express a different emotion. Choose the combination that suits you best, the one that reflects your mood! This year, we’ll be crocheting together again. This time, we’ve decided to crochet long strips that we’ll join together as soon as possible. We’ll alternate between narrow strips and slightly wider ones, in one color and sometimes in two colors. Of course, we’ll eventually add a beautiful border around the bedspread as well. It’s turned out to be a varied pattern with challenging stitches, but also with easier ones. So there’s plenty of challenge for everyone!
The CAL (Crochet Along) starts on March 21 and consists of 6 parts. A new part of the pattern will be posted online every other week, complete with clear written instructions, crochet charts, and a few instructional videos. You can follow the True Colors CAL via the Facebook group “Haakplein” and www.haakplein.com.
