With Schmetz Universal needles, you’ll always have the right needle on hand for everyday sewing projects. The slightly rounded tip glides smoothly through woven Cotton fabrics and many synthetic fabrics without damaging the fibers. Available in standard sizes 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100.

Which size should you choose?

• 60 - For very thin, delicate fabrics such as silk, organza, and voile.
• 70 - For lightweight fabrics such as thin cotton, batiste, and light lining fabrics.
• 80 - The all-around choice for medium-weight fabrics such as standard cotton and poplin.
• 90 - For sturdier fabrics such as heavier Cotton, linen, or lightweight canvas.
• 100 - For thicker, sturdier fabrics. Useful when extra penetration is needed.

Color-coding by size

Universal only has a size-color band (no type color). That makes it super easy to identify:

• 60 - Light Green
• 70 - Green
• 80 - orange
• 90 - Blue
• 100 - Lilac or Purple
