Yarn and Colors Summer in the City Pattern Bundle – Does vacation mean unlimited crafting for you, too? Designer @karinvanhaasteren has also caught the vacation bug. She filled Yarn and Colors’ Lookbook 20 with summery projects and aptly named it “Summer in the City.” Ideal projects to take on vacation because they take up very little space are the summer scarf “It’s a Scarf” and the generous shawl “It’s a Wrap.” Both are crocheted with lightweight cotton yarns, as is the Granny Square blanket “Hip to be Square Blanket.” And then there are two cushions—one knitted and one crocheted—to give your home decor a summery boost. As the cherry on top of the (summer) cake, Karin added a Crochet Pattern for making a string of flags out of your yarn scraps. It’s a simple pattern that doesn’t require much thought and lets you quickly whip up a stack of little flags.
