Crocheted Tablecloth - We love colours, big projects and colourful borders. So we combined this all in one project: this beautiful crocheted tablecloth. Now Spring's coming it's the perfect opportunity to spend some more time outdoors. There's nothing better than sitting outside, having dinner parties, brunches or to go picnicking with your loved ones. This cheerful tablecloth is the perfect item to do so! Doesn't the cheerful colour makes you want to start right away?

This tablecloth is crocheted using a filet crochet technique. When working according to the pattern chart you create a beautiful pattern in your work. We call it 'drawing with your crochet hook and designed a floral pattern that constantly will be repeated. This way you'll get a cheerful floral tablecloth!

This tablecloth is made of Yarn and Colors Must-have. This yarn consists of 100% mercerised cotton, feels super soft and has a light gloss. With the 100 (!) colours you can make endless gorgeous colour combinations! Which shades would you pick?

What do you need for this crocheted tablecloth?
- 12 balls Yarn and Colors Must-have colour 74
- 1 balls Yarn and Colors Must-have colour 17, 45, 15, 43, 37
- 2 balls Yarn and Colors Must-have colour 66
- Crochet hook no. 3mm and 3,5mm

What you need to know before you start:

  • For this tablecloth the pattern schematic is repeated; work 3x the pattern in width and 7x the pattern in length
  • The turning chains do not count as a stitch; they are only used to create height for starting a new row. The first stitch is made in the last st. of the previous row.
  • A blank space in the pattern schematic worked the following way: (dc. 1), ch. 2, skip 2 sts., dc. 1. A coloured box is worked the following way: (dc. 1), dc. 3. Note: The first box of the row consists of 4 sts., the following boxes of 3 sts. (the last dc. of the previous box is the first dc. of the next box).

Tip: Conveniently each new round will start in a corner, but for a smooth finishing you can start each new round in a different place.

Round 1: Ch. 2, dc. 1 in each st. (Dc. 2 in each ch. space). Work 2 dc. in each corner. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st.
Round 2: Work with colour 74 (Opaline Glass) and dc. 1 in each st. Work 2 dc. in each corner. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st. and cast off.
Round 3: Cast on with colour 17 (Papaya). Work 1 hdc. in each st., and work in each corner: sc. 1, ch. 3, sc. 1. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st. and cast off.
Round 4: Cast on with colour 45 (Blossom) in the ch. space in a corner: sc. 1, ch. 3 *sc. 1, ch. 3, skip 2 sts. Repeat from *. Sc. 1, ch. 3, sc. 1 in the corners of the ch. space. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st. and cast off.
Round 5: Cast on with colour 15 (Mustard) in a corner of a ch. space. Ch. 2, cluster dc. 3, ch. 5, *in the next ch. space, cluster dc. 3, ch. 3. Repeat from *. In the corners, ch. 5, cluster 3 dc., ch. 5. Ch. 5 and close this round with a sl.st. in the first st.
Round 6: Cast on with colour 43 (Pearl) around the ch. space of the previous round. Dc. 3 in each ch. space. Ch. 5 in the corners. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st. and cast off.
Round 7: Cast on with colour 66 (Blue lake) in between 2 clusters of dc. Ch. 1, *sc. 1, ch. 3, skip 1 cluster of dc., repeat from *. Ch. 5 in the corners. Close this round with a sl.st. in the first st.
